Reverend Patty Pipia is a certified Grief Recovery Specialist and Certified Dementia Practitioner. She has worked with countless families as a hospital and Hospice chaplain. This immense experience has given Patty immense expertise in helping others cope and grow from grief.
Grief is our natural response to loss. Grief is a strong, sometimes overwhelming emotion—regardless of whether their sadness stems from the loss of a loved one or from a terminal diagnosis they or the loss of something meaningful to us.
Grief is a universal, yet it also a very personal experience. How we experience grief varies and can be influenced by the nature of the loss. Some examples of loss include the death of a loved one, the ending of an important relationship, job loss, dreams or goals not realized, loss through theft or the loss of independence through disability.
